Hugh Jackman is on my laminated card. If you’re a Friends buff then you’ll get the reference. And I didn’t just add him on because he’s in town. He’s been on there for YEARS! Basically since the Friends episode of the laminated card aired.

When I first found out he was here for a 2 week stint performing his one-man show I was SO EXCITED. Of course Grizz immediately found and bought us tickets. And that is where we spent date night this week! This is us in line picking up our pre-show cocktail at the Curran. Ahh I was excited!

This was as close as I was going to get to Hugh all night. Sigh… No matter. It was an amazing show. Well for me anyways. I think I may have caught my Grizz trying to stifle a yawn or two whenever I did tear my eyes away from the stage.

Post-show we grabbed cocktails and light food at the Grand Cafe downtown. I remember doing this all the time pre-kids when we had season tickets to the theater. Sigh… Those were the good old days. It was nice to visit an old haunt again.

This was definitely the BEST date night for the year so far!
