My baby Jack-Jack turned 14 months a few days ago. Yes my 14 month post is a little late. But I didn’t do a 13 month one so I’m already better off this month than last.

She’s my second. It’s so different the second time around. I have much less time to focus on just her and celebrate in all the little milestones as I did with my first. My saving grace is that I have a renewed interest in photography so I end up “accidentally” documenting many of them just because of my new hobby.

Simple things like climbing up a step stool for the first time

Learning the slides

Discovering simple wonders like bubbles

Watching the ducks swim

Learning we have to be invited to the party before we can actually go in

So many of these moments I’ve managed to capture of her because of my new obsession with the camera. I’m grateful for it. Because otherwise my little SF original would never have even half the pictures I have of her older brother.

I DO wish she would smile just a tad more often for the camera though…

But smiling or not, my baby girl is going to have lots of pictures of her childhood. Maybe even as many as her older sibling. Which is not something every second child can say.
