One of the things I really want to do with my photography this year is to shoot more deliberately and with purpose. I found way too many snapshots in my 2012 archives. Most of the time those are great to have as they preserve so many memories of my life and my growing children. However, I would like to take the time to think about composition, light and details before pulling the trigger on any shot.
I have found the classes I took last year to be a wonderful source for creative growth. Both the Project 365 and Project 52 I’ve done also helped with this journey. As a result I decided to continue with a personal photography project again this year. This time I joined a group of 15 talented women from the Clickin Moms forums in a monthly blog circle challenge. Each month we will focus on one theme and link to each other.
For January, our theme is Close-Up Portraiture. I’ve shot all month with this theme in mind whenever I had the time. Here are my favorites.
