Random Housekeeping And A Little Reading
I’ve been busy reorganizing my portfolio site the past few days. It’s sorely in need of some more cute faces that are NOT my children!
I can be accused of having mommy goggles I know!

I’ve posted some shots from a birthday party I did recently on that blog. I’ve decided to post non-personal photos there. Click on the picture of the pretty birthday girl below if you’d like to take a peek.

I decided to donate a family photo session to my son’s school’s biggest fun raiser of the year – Spring Fest! It is this Sunday May 6 from 11am to 3pm. *gulp* I’m a little nervous, but hey it’ll be great to have more cute faces for my portfolio as well as gain more experience. I’m falling in love with photographing families for sure.
I’d love it if you would stop by! If you live in the San Francisco area that is. Come enjoy great food, entertainment, games and bid on the auctions. There are great prizes like a 4 Pass to Disneyland, many gift certificates to top-notch restaurants and stores in the city and of course a photo session with ME! ![]()

Here is the link with more info.
I also did something I’ve never done before. I entered my kids’ photo in a little contest! It’s no big deal really but I find it funny that after 6.5 years I’ve finally jumped on the mommy bandwagon and submitted a photo of my children to a contest just because I think they are the best looking kids EVER! Ha. Nope no other mom thinks that way. This was the photo I submitted. I’m sure you’re not tired of seeing it right? ![]()

Anyway, if you are on Facebook, I would so love your vote! It would totally make my Mothers Day!!
Click on the link below to take you to the photo to vote. You only have until May 4 to vote. I know, I should have posted about it sooner.

So just because I can’t leave you without a few shots of at least one of my cutie-patooties, here are some of my Jack-Jack reading in bed.

These are her current favorite books – Board books by Sandra Boynton that she got from Santa last Christmas. And because she loves them, I love them too!

New Book
She got a new book today. The kind that makes sounds at the push of a button.

Her daddy knows what she likes for sure.

And her big brother comes home in time to read it to her. Boy does she have the men in this house wrapped around that adorable little finger of hers.

My baby and her books. The future looks bright for my little girl.

Reading
The child loves it. Reading. So unlike her big brother who refused to sit still for any kind of story time at this age.

I truly enjoy discovering the differences between my two children. As she grows she develops more of a personality that’s all her own every day. The whole reading thing just warms my heart. She obviously can’t read yet. But she does one of a few things with her books… Brings them over for me, Grizz or even Rex to read her. Or pulls them off the shelf one by one and thumbs through the pages babbling to herself the whole time.

Sometimes she climbs into our bed and reads there.

And don’t ask me why she has to strip down first. The child likes being in her birthday suit.

Well we do keep it a nice and toasty 75 degrees in mommy and daddy’s bed.

*sigh* It’s not going to be long now before both kids will be kicking us out of our bed!

Weekend Scenes
We had a busy one for sure. I am still exhausted from all our fun activities! Our weekends somehow manage to fill themselves up no matter how open they start of as at the beginning of each week. Oh well, I’m thinking it comes with having two young children.
Quick recap…
Holding daddy’s hand TIGHT while walking in the very “colorful” Haight to lunch with Britteeee…

Deciding on where to start at lunch.

Great fun painting ceramics at a lovely birthday party for the sweetest little girl!

Can’t forget the cake! I had to stop myself from asking for a to-go box.

Hosted a really loud, fun and delicious Super Bowl party!

I took all of Monday to relax with some downtime with my kids. Phew!
Girl-Time With Jack-Jack
I survived the weekend and I’m back to blog about it! Ha! That will be tomorrow or later this week. I didn’t have time to process all pictures yet
But I do have some shots from last week to share with you…
With Rex in school most of the day and daddy gone for the past few days, my baby girl and I have found ourselves with more girl-time than we’re used to. It’s been nice to just focus on my youngest for a few hours each day. She has somehow turned into a little person without me noticing

She has a bookshelf of books in her room that she loves going through and pulling out random reads. Sometimes she climbs onto her rocking chair and flips through the pages. Other times she brings them to me and has me read to her

At times I find myself wondering if she really is trying to analyze the pictures and colors on the pages

Then she takes a quick bite out of one and I realize she’s just trying to figure out which ones are the tastiest pages

We also got to lunch outdoors one day last week.

Ahhh… Lunching with ONE kid is such a luxury. One I’ve definitely forgotten

Although I miss my boys sometimes, I’m happy to have this one-on-one time with my Jack-Jack ![]()
